Are you an experienced UK and EU Payroll Specialist?
Our client, a global organisation in East Sussex is seeking a Payroll Specialist to joint their friendly team.
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing payroll for several countries within the UK and Europe. You will work closely with their service providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
You will exhibit partner management and be comfortable in an exceedingly changeable environment with a high degree of ambiguity, have quality focus and the ability to prioritise and manage competing projects.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate your expertise in UK and EU payroll processing and legislation
Lead the payrolls to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
Serve as the point of escalation for complex payroll queries from the business
Ensure reconciliation processes are followed and oversee approval
Oversee testing of changes to ensure compliance and no negative impact on individuals’ pay
Take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, including new hires, leave of absences, terminations, and employee changes.
Compile and analyse payroll data, providing regular reports to key stakeholders.
Address complex payroll issues and provide excellent customer service.
Ensure payroll compliance with company policy and local tax legislation.
Develop and implement systems and processes to support an effective control environment.
Lead departmental and cross-functional projects autonomously.
Who we are looking for:
Hands on payroll specialist on multiple UK payrolls as a minimum, exposure to international payroll is highly desired.
Demonstrative vendor management experience.
A highly motivated and driven professional, with excellent communication skills and a track record of delivery.
Able to operate standalone as payroll - gravitas to hold there own and own the payroll bridge between finance and HR.
Company fleet management experience
Able to identify issues, look at solutions and offer suggestions independently.
Aware of costs, and able to review budgets to ensure they are in line with expectations.
Experience of UK Benefits administration - pension, medical, tax free schemes, etc.
