NXTGEN Recruitment have a fantastic position for a Management Accountant to join an established and highly successful manufacturing business. This is a thriving and fast paced business with excellent development and progression prospects, working for a line manager who is passionate about people development. As Management Accountant, you will support the Head of finance with the delivery of the month end close, whilst ensuring that department budget holders have access to real time financial insight to improve decision making. You will work in a business facing capacity, building excellent internal relationships with stakeholders before influencing some of these decisions to drive financial performance both from an operational and commercial perspective. The Management Accountant will also be involved with the review and reporting of key operational metrics including standard costing, budgeting and forecasting activities, giving the role great diversity and challenge.
Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant role will include:
* Delivery of month end Management Accounts with accompanying variance analysis
* Prepare and review budget and forecast performance reports for cost centers
* Work with operational teams to provide greater understanding for costing and identify ways to improve productivity
* Review CAPEX projects and proposals to ensure maximum ROI is achieved
* Partner with commercial teams to provide insight on sales performance for a variety of product lines
The successful candidate will ideally be will be fully qualified or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). Prior experience gained in a fast paced Manufacturing, FMCG or Engineering environment would be significantly advantageous but not essential. You will be confident using Excel and analysing large volumes of data. Prior experience using financial models or costing models would also be beneficial. Candidates will also need to be confident working with a range of senior stakeholders and influencing key decisions.
