Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a experienced Teacher to join a wonderful Primary School with a dedicated autism base in Harrow starting in September 2024. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.
The School:
The autism base is a base for pupils with autism, challenging behaviour, and the associated learning disabilities. The base is attached to a mainstream setting and is well equipped to provide the best education possible. You will have access to sensory rooms, along with an experienced team of specialist SEN support staff.
The base holds 12 children maximum and the head strives to ensure the ARP pupils join in with day to day school life and integrate into mainstream classes according to their individual levels of need.
As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for the below:
* Planning and assessing pupils with Autism.
* Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions.
* Support behaviour by following the children’s plans
* Updating and setting targets for children.
* Working alongside Speech and Language Therapist
To join us and be successful in this role you will need:
* Full QTS
* Previous experience working within SEN
* An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
* Legal right to work in the UK
