Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeper to support service users at their care home.
Organisation skills are a must, as you’ll have to keep tabs on items such as toiletries, soaps, cleaning products and towels, restocking as and when required.
Other responsibilities will include an understanding of how to store cleaning chemicals correctly, infection control and maintaining health and safety protocol.
About The Role
* Cleaning all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpet and equipment together with corridors and public areas. This may include the following to be done on a daily or weekly basis as advised by the Service Manager or the Person-in-Charge:
* Emptying waste bins, dusting required areas based on daily or weekly clean
* Vacuuming throughout and mopping required areas
* Cleaning lavatories, bathroom/shower/wet rooms and pipe works
* Restocking toiletries, soaps, towels, etc. as and when required
* Spot cleaning and shampooing of floorings as and when required
* To inform the person-in-charge of any stock that requires to be replenished
* You will be responsible for ensuring the home is clean, tidy and hygienic, with the highest standards of cleanliness in the service users’ own rooms.
What you will need:
* Experience cleaning in commercial properties is desired
* A reliable, happy and caring attitude
* Excellent level of written and spoken English
* Right to work in the UK
