Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Newcastle, is currently looking to recruit an Environmental Protection Team Manager for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £55 - £60 (Umbrella) per hour – working 37 hours per week. This role will be hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the daily operations of the Environmental Protection Team, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s policies and regulations.
- Oversee statutory functions including nuisance investigation, pollution control, air quality, and contaminated land regulation.
- Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team culture through effective people management and inter-service collaboration.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental health matters and represent the organisation in various forums.
