Role: Data Engineer (Sports Performance)
Salary: £40-70k
Location: Derby/Hybrid (2x a week)

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure data delivery to elite sports teams through designing, developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines to serve applications and staff.
* Deliver the highest quality of data to coaches, analysts and other key stakeholders.
* Collaborate closely with others to create robust production processes that support data-driven initiatives.
* Establish and maintain quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data, upholding the highest standards of data integrity.
* Work alongside the others to manage datasets, comprehensively understanding and documenting data flows, and applying a quality assurance approach to all data-related tasks.
* Integrate pipelines with observability platforms to quickly highlight problems and ensure pipeline health, proactively addressing any issues.
* Adhere to data security and privacy policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.
* Passionate to push data capabilities by introducing new products, process & practice.
Essential Skills
* Python/SQL
* GCP - BigQuery, Data Fusion, Dataflow etc.
* Performance Analysis - HUDL/Catapult Sports/Prozone
* Database Design
* Data Modelling
* Dharma Framework
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a proven track record with GCP, designing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about using data to drive strategic decisions.
