Job title: Yard Operative
Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Hourly Pay: £11.50-£12.50 dependent on experience
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00
Our client, a dynamic and growing organisation located on the outskirts of Gloucester City Centre, is currently seeking a Yard Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to kickstart their career in warehousing and logistics. As a Yard Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse/yard operations.
Responsibilities:
* Receive stock deliveries and ensure timely and accurate recording.
* Pick customer orders efficiently and accurately.
* Put away items in a timely manner, maintaining organisation within the warehouse.
* Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment.
* Always adhere to health and safety guidelines.
* Assist with inventory controls using handheld scanners.
* Handle merchandise with care and report any damaged or missing goods.
* Provide support to other departments as needed.
Requirements:
* Excellent team-working skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Previous experience with warehouse management systems, such as SAGE, is desirable.
* Experience in loading and unloading vehicles, including operating forklift trucks.
* Possession of a Counterbalance and Pivot truck Licence is desirable, but training will be provided if necessary.
