USP / DSP Scientist
Location - Cambridge

Salary- £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on interview performance & experience)

Do you have experience with upstream and/or downstream manufacturing processes in an industry setting? Have you worked within a cleanroom environment?
We are currently offering the opportunity for a Scientist II or Scientist III to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge.
Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to join their manufacturing team.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
The Role
As a Scientist within the gene / DNA manufacturing team, you will be responsible for:
* DNA / RNA / gene manufacturing projects within a highly regulated environment,
* Performing upstream & downstream processing,
* Manufacturing of synthetic DNA, media prep & maintenance of manufacturing areas,
* Maintaining QMS documentation & creating / updating SOPs.
Skills and Experience Needed
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Experience working within industry / biotechnology setting (essential)
* Prior working experience within a cleanroom environment (essential)
* Practical experience with upstream & downstream manufacturing processes, such as tangential flow filtration (TFF), cross-flow filtration, chromatography, fermentation (essential)
* BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in a biological discipline (essential)
* Experience working within a highly regulated environment - such as GMP, ISO, GLP, GCP (essential)
* Existing UK work eligibility (essential)
* Prior experience working within a QMS and writing / updating SOPs (desirable)
