HR Manager * Annual Salary: £50k - £65k
* Location: London (near Euston Station), with hybrid working options
* Job Type: Permanent
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s existing HR Manager and Staff Partner, contributing at both a senior operational and administrative level. This role is incredibly varied and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a busy role where you have the chance to get involved in all aspects of human resources, preferably with experience in a professional services environment.
Day-to-day of the role: * Manage the recruitment and selection process for all staff, including Apprenticeship and Graduate hiring.
* Provide expert guidance, coaching, and support to Partners and Managers on a full range of HR activities.
* Offer support to staff on HR issues, including pastoral support.
* Advise on individual employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with firm policies and employment legislation.
* Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
* Keep up to date with legal developments and advise on compliance and risk factors.
* Develop an annual in-house CPD programme and manage learning and development activities.
* Monitor and review the firm’s system of performance appraisal and develop as necessary.
* Analyse data to monitor HR metrics and provide monthly management reports.
* Review and manage new starter and leaver processes, including conducting induction and exit interviews.
* Manage and administer the HR software system, ensuring legal and data protection compliance.
* Advise on ACCA and ICAEW Training Office requirements.
* Manage completion of Best Companies profile and employee engagement surveys.
* Administer payroll and benefits information and manage the annual salary review process.
* Plan and co-ordinate annual work experience placements.
* Complete administration across all aspects of the HR function.
* Identify, design, and implement strategic HR projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Significant previous experience in Human Resources, ideally within a professional services environment.
* Knowledge of current UK employment law and best employment practices.
* Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* High level of personal and professional integrity.
* CIPD qualification (desirable).
* Previous experience of payroll preparation (desirable).
