Job Description:
We are employing part and full time staff for our new Poke Bowl restaurant on the Lisburn Road
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Food Preparation:** Prepare ingredients for poke bowls, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and cooking proteins like chicken or tofu.
2. **Assembly:** Assemble poke bowls according to customer orders, ensuring the presentation and portion size meet restaurant standards.
3. **Quality Control:** Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene; ensure that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
4. **Customer Service:** Interact with customers to take orders, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations.
5. **Cleaning:** Keep the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils clean and organized; perform regular sanitation duties.
6. **Inventory Management:** Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist with inventory management and ordering as needed.
7. **Team Collaboration:** Work effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
**Requirements:** 1
. **Experience:** Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
2. **Skills:** Knowledge of food safety standards, knife skills, and basic cooking techniques.
3. **Communication:** Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.
4. **Physical Stamina:** Capability to handle the physical demands of a kitchen environment, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
5. **Flexibility:** Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1. **Certification:** Food Handler’s Permit or similar certification.
2. **Knowledge:** Familiarity with poke bowl ingredients and preparation techniques. This description can be tailored to fit specific roles such as front-of-house positions, kitchen managers, or dishwashers as needed.
