Summary Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, you’ll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service.
Hours: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. You’ll likely work around 24 hours per week. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. You’ll work Thursday - Sunday and shifts are 8am -2pm.
Salary: £11.50 per hour
Duration: This is a short, 6 month fixed term contract to cover staff absence.
What it’s like to work here As a member of the six-person Business Services and Facilities Team, you’ll work both indoors and out in this spectacular country house and beautiful grounds. 
As a Facilities Assistant, often working around our visitors, you can expect to be regularly approached by visitors needing directions or asking questions about Kedleston and its history and nature. Supported by the Facilities Co-ordinator, you’ll be flexible and proactive, particularly at our busiest periods, when staff often need to assist wherever help is needed.
Click here for more information about this location What you’ll be doing As the Facilities Assistant, you’ll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You’ll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ’customer comes first’ attitude. General maintenance work and helping within other teams will also form part of your role.
