Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client from within the construction industry who are actively looking for a Quantity Surveyor on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team.
THE ROLE As a Quantity Surveyor you will work closely with the Directors, the role is site based but will include some days office based, responsibilities include:
* Be responsible for providing effective financial and contractual control of the projects that are being managed
* Strive to maximise profitability by identifying ways to reduce costs or add value to projects
* Accurate, timely and fair measurement of site operatives
* Provide support to the Site Agents and Engineers by identifying varied and additional works
* Maintain records, measures and produce monthly applications for payment for each project
* Produce take offs to assist with estimating and bulk material quantity ordering when required
* Produce monthly reports for the Commercial Manager
* Keep up to date with developments in quantity surveying and strive to make the business more efficient and effective
THE CANDIDATE The successful Quantity Surveyor will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:
* Experienced Quantity Surveyor from a construction background
* Experience measuring gangs and liaising directly with site staff
* JCT contract experience is essential, NEC is desirable
* Someone who is happy travel and to be based on site
* Valid UK drivers’ licence
