The role will involve assisting the purchasing team to ensure all direct and indirect materials are available on time and in budget and supporting with the management of key supplier accounts.

Job Description
* Sourcing and placing orders for contract and non-contract items using MRP reports and manual requisitions.
* Negotiating lower pricing and maintaining supplier details on the MRP system.
* Monitoring supplier performance, developing improvement programs, and maintaining minimum stock levels.
* Adjusting MRP parameters for timely availability and appropriate batch sizes.
* Assisting stores and production control with stocktaking and progressing work through the factory.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
* Strong experience of using MRP/ERP/SAP or similar systems.
* Experience placing and reviewing purchase orders and updating parts and supplier and customer data.
* Knowledge of MS Office.
