Warehouse Supervisor - Nights
Menzies Distribution are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor - Nights to join our Newstrade team providing a first class service in Ryde, to support the picking, packing and distribution of newspapers and magazines for the Island. You’ll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution Solutions Limited and its customers and be supporting the team completing various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible, and upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times.
WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW:
* Salary: £14.06 per hour / £22,000 per annum
* 30 hours per week
* Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday (Nights)
* Hours: Sunday 03:30am - 09:30am / Monday – Thursday 03:30am - 10:00am
* Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight, PO33 1BG
* Initially 6 month contract with possibility of permanent
** An ideal junior management role for someone who would like to progress, and an exciting opportunity for ambitious individual who is able to work in fast paced environment. **
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
* Manage and motivate the team to meet customer timescales and targets and help drive improved standards and productivity
* Ensure the working environment is always safe, clean and tidy at all times
* Provide ’Hand over Reports’ as required by management
* Hold regulsr team briefings with warehouse staff to communicate Company policies and procedures, Health & Safety matters and any other business information
* Ensure all staff have completed the necessary Health & Safety Training in order to carry out their role safely
* Assist in the planning and forecast staff requirements including rota management and annual leave planning
* Ensure inductions and required training are completed for all staff
* Ensure safe systems of work are adhered to at all times
* Carry out and manage team performance reviews, Return to work, disciplinary, absence management and sickness
* Ensure all payroll paperwork is passed to the relevant department to ensure pay is correct
