Job Description:
Looking for a Sous Chef in Truro!
My client is looking for a Sous Chef for an immediate start that will integrate into their tight-knit friendly team in a exceptional setting in Truro with a vibrant atmosphere.
The setting is producing menus that vary seasonally and use the best Cornish produce to deliver stunning food for the Truro area.
Duties will include:
- Assisting the head chef with duties in the kitchen and some office based
- Staff Training
- Helping with rotas
- Menu Creation (seasonally changing and using the best Cornwall produce)
- Taking charge of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
- Stock levels, management and ordering
Previous experience & qualifications:
- Previous sous chef experience
- Previous experience in high-quality restaurant
- Level 2 food safety minimum
- Experience with kitchen compliance and safety
Pay
£16 per hour (however negotiable on application for the right person)
Generous tip share (split between employees based on hours worked)
Hours
40-50hrs a week (mixture of shifts incl evenings and weekends)
