Job Description:
We are recruiting Events Specialist to join our Rapport team at one of our prestigious client offices in London. Our client is one of the Big Four Accountancy firms in the world, and you will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to clients and guests, offering flexible business support as required.
This is a hands-on and proactive role that requires actively seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies and enhance the overall business environment, specialising in both internal and external client experiences, from small meetings to large conferences.
This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week), working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Overtime beyond these service hours may be required on occasion of events as per business needs.
The Events Specialist role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional service, taking responsibility for their contribution to the team, consistently seeks innovative ways to enhance guest services while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, and eagerness to learn and grow with a proactive attitude.
Main responsibilities
* Planning, designing, and producing events, managing all project delivery elements within specified time frames
* Liaising with clients to identify their needs, ensuring timely and professional responses to all enquiries, and accurate recording of booking details
* Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of room capacities, facilities, and set-up options to maximise available space on the meeting room floors
* Communicating effectively with the team members and other service departments/providers to ensure service delivery and teamwork
* Identifying, proposing, and confirming all event requirements with clients, ensuring compliance with insurance, legal, and health and safety obligations
* Continuously developing client knowledge, aiming to surprise and delight at every opportunity
* Supporting project management and digitalisation of services
The ideal candidate will

* Ideally, have at least one year of customer service experience in a similar role within a five-star establishment (e.g., luxury hotel, premium airlines, or corporate environment)
* Have an outgoing personality and be able to easily build rapport with key stakeholders (internal, external and VIPs)
* Have an excellent command of English, verbal and written
* Be creative, proactive, organised, detail-oriented, process-driven, and resourceful with a can-do attitude
* Have the ability to work independently and as part of a large team
* Display excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
* Have passion to deliver excellent guest service in everything that they do
