On behalf of this client AMS are looking for a Regulatory Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract. This is hybrid with adhoc travel (expected once/month) to offices in London, Swindon or Whitley
Purpose of the role
This is a regulatory project within General Insurance. You will come in on the ground floor of this to assist in shaping the scope of the project and work collaboratively and consultatively in interpreting regulatory requirements into clear action items for the business.
You will own your leg of this programme E2E by collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure that requirements and appropriate action plans are understood and acted upon appropriately.
Firstly, a regulatory framework must be built to ensure compliance across the business. Secondly, this framework will necessitate the creation of reporting features and management information. Candidates with experience in either (or both) practices will be considered with a preference for a broad skillset across both regulatory compliance frameworks and reporting.
As a Regulatory Business Analyst, you will:
* Assist in defining project plans by analysing available information, cutting through potential ambiguity to identify clear action items for the business.
* Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across several workstreams simultaneously.
* Analyse existing business processes to ensure that they are fit for purpose.
* Dig into the detail of complex regulatory requirements and communicate the key points to the relevant stakeholders.
* Work with third-party suppliers to ensure business needs are being met.
* Work closely with colleagues across several functions in the business including Compliance and Audit.
* Conduct gap analysis to ensure existing policies are compliant with regulatory demands.
What we require from the candidate:
* Hands-on experience in complex regulatory projects.
* The ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across several business functions.
* Experience interpreting complex regulatory requirements, preferably within General Insurance.
* Possession of a broad toolkit of business analysis practices to enable a flexible approach informed by the desired project outcomes.
* Experience in working with third-party suppliers.
* Experience in MI and reporting, especially within the regulatory space (desirable).
