Are you a CNC Machine Shop Manager looking for your next career opportunity? Our client, a successful family-owned premium manufacturer of hot foil machines and dies, is seeking a highly skilled individual to join their modern manufacturing facility in Colchester.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a high level of computer literacy, with proficiency in software such as CAD, Excel, and other manufacturing systems. A basic understanding of G-Code and knowledge of machine workings, including sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations such as scheduling and delegating tasks to meet production needs, performing manual machining (turning and milling), interpreting drawings to manufacture components within set tolerances, and CNC programming (Siemens and Protrak). Additionally, the successful candidate will supervise and lead a small team of machinists. You will work closely with the directors and have the creative freedom to introduce new ideas.
The salary for this role is £42,000 per annum. Benefits include a healthcare cash plan, an employee assistance programme, and your birthday off. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm.
