Project Surveyor

Sellick partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Project Surveyor for a social housing organisation based in Sunderland.
The Project Surveyor will report directly to the Project Manager, playing a leading role and be responsible for ensuring the compliance to specification and scope of works is achieved on the schemes which their team have been allocated.
Duties of the Project Surveyor:
* Support the successful delivery of the investment programmes from prestart to project close
* Contribute towards the production of documents and drawings associated with the delivery of the asset management investment plan
* Undertake documented pre, post and in progress quality inspections of work to ensure works are completed within the specified timescales to the quality required and that the works deliver value for money
* Actively resolve defects, customer queries and manage the performance of principal contractors in line with tender submissions
* Contribute to all aspects of any contracts, including attending project, team and site meetings, and public consultation events, dealing with the broad range of queries from internal and external customers
* Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to provide timely and accurate project information and ensure contractor payment claims are valid, substantiated, and accurate
Requirements of the Project Surveyor:
* Recognised qualification in a construction discipline ONC/HNC OR considerable demonstrable and relevant experience
* Demonstrable experience in carrying out quality control inspections to ensure compliance to specification, scope and standards are being achieved in large-scale Social Housing Investment plan programmes
* A full UK driving license
