Job Description:
Our client, a leading organisation in the public sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in construction management to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities: * Oversee construction work ensuring adherence to requirements, operational constraints, time, cost, and quality.
* Deliver assigned projects effectively, managing all aspects from design to construction.
* Lead, coach, and develop a local team to deliver team and personal objectives safely and securely.
* Maintain and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
* Ensure compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
* Manage projects with a focus on governance, including compliance and reporting.
* Oversee project resources, including people and finances.
* Lead the planning and execution of tasks and projects as defined in the Work Authorisation Document (WAD).
* Support and initiate change management against the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
* Identify and manage risks and opportunities, taking appropriate actions.
Job Requirements: * Experience in construction management, site management, and project delivery.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
* Ability to maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
* Understanding of governance, compliance, and reporting mechanisms in project management.
* Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
* Experience in managing project resources including people and finances.
* Proficiency in risk and opportunity management.
