Job Description:
A leading educational institution is seeking a talented joinery professional to transition from hands-on work into an instructional role, sharing expertise and shaping the future of aspiring joiners.
This role is ideal for those with a specialism in site or bench joinery, whether you’re a seasoned industry expert or an experienced tutor or assessor looking for a new challenge. We are expanding our curriculum and seek passionate, industry-experienced individuals to help us establish our institution as a Centre of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment up to Level 3, including study programmes, adult programmes, and apprenticeships within site and bench joinery in both workshop and classroom settings.
* Utilize an enthusiastic and engaging approach to motivate students and support them in achieving their potential.
* Equip students with essential skills for their future through the delivery of high-quality education and training.
* Prepare and mark assessments, setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential.
* Develop creative resources to inspire outstanding learning experiences.
* Monitor and track learner progress to ensure positive outcomes.
* Act as an effective and motivated team player, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
* Hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, along with a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award, or be willing to work towards obtaining these qualifications.
* Bring the subject to life through a combination of practical, theoretical, and digital teaching methods to engage learners and equip them with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for their future.
