Job Description:

Key Responsibilities :
* Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment in carpentry and joinery up to Level 3, including study programmes, adult programmes, and apprenticeships.
* Work in both workshop and classroom settings, using your expertise to inspire and motivate students.
* Contribute to the growth and development of our curriculum, helping to establish the area as a Centre of Excellence.
* Use an enthusiastic and engaging approach to support students in achieving their potential.
* Equip students with skills for their future through high-quality education and training.
* Deliver excellent teaching, complete relevant preparation and marking, and set SMART targets for student achievement
* Create innovative resources to enhance learning and monitor learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
* Work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
* Hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, and possess or be willing to work towards a relevant teaching qualification and assessor award.
* Bring the subject to life using practical, theoretical, and digital methods to engage learners and equip them with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for the future.
Candidate Requirements:
* Extensive experience in joinery, with a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation.
* Experience as a tutor or assessor in a similar field is desirable but not essential.
* Effective and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Dedicated to achieving strategic and organisational goals.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
* Willingness to adapt to new challenges and contribute to the institution’s growth.
* In this role you will also work in collaboration with Technicians, Personal Development Coordinators, Work Placement Officers and other internal departments such as examinations and curriculum administration.
