Due to an increase in orders, we are actively looking for Press Brake Setters or Press Brake Operators in Telford to work a permanent night shift for a sheet metal manufacturing business.
The rate of pay will vary depending on experience, but the basic salary would initially be between £32,000 - £34,000 per annum, with the OTE more with overtime.
This would be working 10 hour shifts 4 nights per week (40 hours total), with regular overtime available which is paid at premium rate once the basic hours have been completed.
We are looking or people who have worked on Press Brakes, Punch Presses or a Laser Machine and have either setting and operating, or just operating experience.
We are looking for people who have experience with either Trumpf or AMADA machines, has experience with thin gauge materials and can work and read technical drawings.
The hiring manager would consider taking someone onto a permanent contract from Day 1 providing you have the right experience.
As a Punch Press Operator, day to day you will carry out the following:
* Loading and checking programmes as per job sheet and selecting correct materials
* Loading and unloading of parts into the TRUMPF or Amada Press brake
* Setting and operating the Press Brake, Punch Press or Laser
* Quality Inspection of parts using equipment and gauges ensuring they have been folded within tolerance
* Working from engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards is required
* Maintaining and cleaning equipment the equipment
* Keeping the workspace in an organised manner
* Adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations.
Related Skills
* Previous experience of setting/operating Press Brakes, Punch Presses or Lasers
* Previous experience on either an AMADA or TRUMPF machine
* Ability to interpret and work to Engineering drawings
* Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision.
Person Specification
You will have current or previous experience setting and operating brake press machines, job titles similar are brake press operator, press brake operator, sheet metal machine operator.
