Job Description:
Behaviour Mentor Required for School in Guildford
Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a mainstream school in Guildford who require a support worker to work with vulnerable students who may have Autism, Adhd or other Complex Behavioural Needs . The school are looking for extra support when extra cover is needed, both pastoral and supporting various classes around the school.
This role is due to start in September 2024.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for extra work within the week, wants to develop their experience in education and with mental health. This timetable will likely be more Full Time, but some weeks may be part time. Ultimately, we can be flexible.

Your Role
* Supporting a range of vulnerable children between the ages of 4 - 11 years

* Be able to appropriately calm children down and de-escalate

* Be able to effectively behaviour manage

* Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption

* Providing feedback to teachers and parents

* Be available - Full or Part time - 8.15am - 3.30pm

* Outgoing and mentoring manner

* Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential

* You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.

* Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
