Job Description:
A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a European Road Freight Trainee (Export / Import) to join our client’s team in Basildon.
Responsibilities:
* Creating and processing of Groupage shipments on your assigned services
* Assisting your Supervisor/Manager and colleagues by creating bookings, providing customer assistance, invoicing and undertaking general daily duties.
* Ensuring client’s needs and expectations are met and where possible exceeded in a timely and cost effective manner
* Assisting the CCT department in customs clearance of exports & imports
* Working with the Management & Directors to maximize the profits for both department and Company as a whole
* Invoicing for in a timely manner
* Obtaining and preparing of documents for our Customs team to process
* Filing
* Liaising with our overseas agents
* Providing excellent Customer Service, using emails and phones as appropriate
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year office experience
* GCSE Grade 5 and above in English & Maths
* Willingness to learn
* Excellent Customer Service experience
* Be confident to liaise with European customers
Working Hours:
* 09.00 - 17.30 (flexibility to work beyond will be required)
* Monday to Friday
* 1 hour lunch
