Our client, a reputable and growing company in Walsall, is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join their finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of incoming cash receipts. Paying up to £32,000 per annum!
What you’ll be doing:
* Accurately and efficiently allocate incoming cash receipts to customer accounts.
* Research and resolve discrepancies in bank statements and customer payments.
* Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash transactions.
* Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to maintain accurate customer records and resolve payment queries.
* Monitor and report on aged receivables to ensure timely collection of payments.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all cash transactions.
* Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as required.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to cash handling and financial controls.
What they’re looking for:
* Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within a finance department.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
