Children’s Residential Support Worker Location: Stratford, E7
Salary: £12 - £13 per hour
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Stratford, E7, within a very settled 4-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children, with one of our young residents having been with us for five years.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children.
* Support children in their daily routines, including education, activities, and personal development.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet the children’s needs.
* Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all children.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role within a children’s residential setting is preferred.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Compassionate, patient, and resilient nature.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Relevant qualifications in childcare or a willingness to work towards them.
