Our client, based in Clacton on Sea are a leading organisation in the agricultural industry, is seeking a Dispatch Picking and Packing Operative to join their distribution team.
Responsibilities:
* Print and process daily orders for both domestic and international shipments.
* Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping.
* Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper storage of products.
* Wrap, label, and secure pallets to maintain stability and safety during transport.
* Manage stock rotation.
* Dispose of sachet waste in compliance with regulations.
* Pack stock in priority order, aligning with courier collection times.
* Record fridge temperatures in accordance with quality requirements.
* Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
* Maintain a tidy work area and observe safe work practises.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with production teams to coordinate product availability.
* Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Dispatch Operations Lead or Distribution Manager to uphold customer service standards.
Requirements:
* Strong communication skills, including the ability to understand technical terminology.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work independently.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Professional and articulate communication style.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
* A driver’s licence is desirable.
* A positive and self-motivated mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop.
