NET Recruit is partnering with a high-growth business services company located in the Southampton area to assist them in their search for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. With exciting expansion projects planned for the future, this growth is set to continue for years to come, providing a diverse and interesting finance opportunity within this role, to oversee the finance function and also be a driving force within the company to create and implement change across the business, to ensure that costs are minimised and that returns on money, time and energy are maximised. Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
* Acting as a driver for change, identifying ways of improvement and helping to implement these to create better efficiency throughout the business
* Producing the management accounts pack for the company in a timely manner
* Overseeing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure work is completed
* Preparation of insightful monthly reporting and producing relevant KPI data that will drive business performance
* Preparing and monitoring all company accounts to produce insightful analysis, including from the profit and loss, cashflow forecast and the balance sheet
* Maintaining data and submissions for VAT returns and corporate tax and ensure that all accounts are reconciled and checked regularly
* Developing the month end reporting and activities to optimise these as much as possible, and ensure reporting is as insightful as possible
* Managing the payroll provider to ensure accurate inputting of data and the accurate processing of starters, leavers and returns
* Supporting the annual audit by providing information as needed on time
* Developing leading and inspiring the finance team across all sites in the business
What you will need to Apply:
The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified accounting professional, either ACA or ACCA, with a substantial career behind them already within Financial Accounting and Management. You will need to have excellent managerial and time management abilities, and additional strong communication skills in order to communicate successfully with varying stakeholders regarding valuable financial information and support commercial decision making across the business.
