Job Description:
MBA are excited to be working with a client who is one of the UK’s largest Toyota and Lexus dealership groups. They are looking for a SMART Repair Technician to join there newly built SMART Repair centre based in Reading.
  
Our client has built a brand-new workshop with 3 new spray bays to expand their team. They provide guaranteed bonus while on training or holiday, as well as an uncapped commission scheme.
  
As a Smart Repair technician, you will play a very important role within our client’s growing business. You will be required to have a good all-round knowledge of the role, from alloy wheel to bodywork paint repairs as well as be highly organised with a flexible approach to your workload. You should be able to work without supervision against a varied workload whilst continually exceeding customer expectations.
 
What our Client need’s
  
* Mask/protect any areas adjacent to parts to be prepared
* Apply abrasives and use hand and power tools in preparing parts for final refinish
* Remove all dust and other particles from prepared parts
* Inspect panels for adherence to shop standards for preparation
* Ensure minimal material wastage by using all available equipment including IT
* Prepare vehicles or parts of vehicles to the highest quality standard
* Accurately manage and maintain a colour database
* Examine vehicles and/or parts of vehicles and diagnose non-routine defects using knowledge of the vehicles and technologies concerned
* Work in accordance with Bodyshop and dealership Health & Safety requirements.
* Take personal responsibility for the daily maintenance of Bodyshop equipment, and reports equipment defects or problems that need attention
* Attend all specialised training, product knowledge and any other such relevant training that is requested of you
 
Your Skills
* Relevant experience as a Smart Repair Technician
* Relevant experience in a Bodyshop environment
* Be able to interact with customers to deliver a great service
* Work efficiently under pressure
