Description
* Oversee the company’s accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records.
* Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
* Conduct regular ledger activities.
* Provide insightful information and expectations to the company’s leadership to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
* Manage tax compliance and reporting, and payroll processes.
* Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
* A qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field
* Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
* Previous experience in the public or Not-For-Profit sector
* Understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
* Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
* Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset.
