Job Description:
Ready to step into your next fascinating temporary placement?
You will join an impressive organisation as their latest Temporary Senior Finance Assistant (Grants). Starting immediately, you will work closely with the other members of the Projects Team with finance, reporting and ensuring Terms are adhered to.
An incredibly varied role, with lots to get involved in, the role will be ongoing for 12 weeks initially.
Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. This role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.
Temporary Temporary Senior Finance Assistant (Grants) Responsibilities
* Ensuring projects are set up correctly
* Reviewing grant contracts and terms of conditions
* Discussing the procurement and recruitment plan for projects to develop expenditure forecasts
* Closing projects – ensuring all appropriate spending is charged to the correct project, ensuring budgets are utilized effectively and prepare project for final expenditure statements
* Processing invoices
* Conducting Audits and reviews
* Processing financial monitoring and reporting
* Managing the Projects inbox

Temporary Temporary Senior Finance Assistant (Grants) Requirements
It is essential to have some experience in Finance and Accounting, with a proven financial aptitude alongside proficiency in Excel. Experience within a research environment or higher education organisation would be beneficial however not essential.
You will be comfortable with changing priorities and enjoy the challenge for a fast paced and dynamic role. It is paramount you have high accuracy and attention to detail as well as being able to produce clear and concise work.
Excellent inter-personal skills are a must, including the ability to develop effective and cooperative working relationships with academic and non-academic colleagues at all levels.
