Exam Invigilators
Birmingham, Staffordshire
Salary: £12.82 per hour  
We are recruiting for Exam Invigilators to join our pool of staff ahead of the new Academic Year exams in our Secondary Schools. 
Supporting Secondary Schools in the Birmingham area, we are looking for casual staff who can provide exam cover on a flexible basis between the hours of 8am and 4pm. 
All bookings are to be a minimum of 3hrs per day, with around 5 shifts per week. 
The Role of an Exam Invigilator is
• To conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and School instructions.
• To play a key role in upholding the integrity of the examination process.
Key responsibilities;
• To support the exams officer in keeping exam papers and materials secure before, during and after exams
• To support the exams officer in ensuring exam rooms are set out according to the instructions
• To admit candidates into exam rooms
• To support the exams officer in identifying, seating, and instructing candidates in the conduct of their exams
• To distribute the correct exam papers and materials to candidates
• To deal with candidate queries.
During exams:
• To supervise candidates at all times and be vigilant throughout exams
• To keep disruption in exam rooms to a minimum
• To deal with emergencies or irregularities effectively
• To record/report any disruption or irregularities
• To complete attendance registers
• To deal with candidate queries.
• To support the exams officer in collecting exam scripts
• To dismiss candidates from the exam room
• To securely return all exam scripts and exam materials to the exams officer
This is on a casual basis with a full exam timetable and available shifts provided in advance and full, free training is provided to all successful applicants. You must have UK RTW and hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one at a cost to yourself. We can support on new DBS applications
Additional roles are available for suitable person including Lunchtime Cover, Catering Work and Admin roles if suitable.
