Job Title: Practice Bookkeeper

My client, a NI Top 10 Practice are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Practice Bookkeeper to join their team, based in Belfast City Centre.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing client accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
* Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
* Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
* Generate financial reports and statements for clients.
* Liaise with clients to address queries and provide financial advice.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Support the preparation of annual accounts and tax returns.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a practice environment
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite
* Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT, ICB) are desirable, but not essential
