Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic, the ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, be confident working on all makes of cars, and possess excellent repair and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
* Handle front counter work, including customer interactions and service consultations.
* Self-manage tasks within the workshop to ensure efficiency and quality.
* Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical faults.
* Assist in the training of junior mechanics and apprentices.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic.
* MOT tester certification.
* Proficient in vehicle diagnostics and repair.
* Strong understanding of automotive systems and technology.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with air conditioning systems and electric vehicles (training will be provided if necessary).
Working Conditions:
* Workshop based with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
* Regular working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
* Overtime available if desired.
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year.
* Yearly bonus: £500 - £1,000.
