Job Description:
Barge Fitter
2 weeks contract - start date 11/08/2024
Wells next to sea (Norfolk)
Salary £ - day rate to be discussed
My client specialises in marine construction and renewables. We are currently recruiting for a Barge/Marine Fitter with the responsibility to support all aspects of the day-to-day engineering needs on the vessel.
Required experience:
* Full GWO and either OGUK or ENG1 - Essential
* Happy to work away weeks at a time
* Hydraulic systems and the ability to read and understand hydraulic schematic diagrams
* Hydraulic fault diagnosis
* Air compressors and basic pneumatic systems
* Diesel engines / power packs - servicing and repair
* Basic knowledge of single and three phase electrical circuits and equipment
* Basic IT ability for record keeping etc
