Job Specification: Senior Estimator

Location: Cambridge Office (with site visits as required)

Company Overview:
We are a large main contractor with a strong presence in the MOD, Education, and Healthcare sectors. We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our Cambridge office, focusing on winning projects on approved frameworks and delivering high-quality estimates for a wide range of project values.

Role Overview:
The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in our estimating team, working on projects ranging from £2M to £30M. This position is ideal for an experienced Estimator ready to step up to a Senior role, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
Produce detailed cost plans and estimates.
Perform take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Lead the tender enquiry process, including pricing competitive tenders under the direction of the Estimating Director.
Handle groundwork packages and explore value engineering options.
Be client-facing, ensuring clear communication and building strong relationships.
Utilize Microsoft Office packages proficiently; experience in estimating software is desired.
Travel to sites as required to gather information and support the estimating process.

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the MOD, Education, or Healthcare sectors.
Ability to win projects on approved frameworks.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office packages; experience Excel and estimating software.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
