Data Engineer 

On behalf of our leading client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for an  Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, you will help support our clients as they build a new data platform that aims to empower Data Analysts to provide better insights to Product Analysts, as well as empower Data Scientists to run experiments in a more efficient and trusted data environment.


The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for:

* Driving design and development of data models.
* Implementation and delivery of Data mesh-like solutions for interoperability among various data sets.
* Leading the exploration of data-centric platform technologies and implementing the recommended technologies.
* Ensuring data integrity & quality through monitoring and alerting tools
* Planning robust systems that gracefully recover from outages and system issues
* Provide support for both Analytics and Operational Platforms


The Senior Data Engineer will have the following:

* Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Pyspark
* Hands-on experience with Databricks
* AWS Skills
* S3 for the Data Lake
* Athena
* Performance tuning
* CI with Databricks
* SQL
