Job title: Lab Technician
Location: Wokingham (on site Monday to Friday)
Contract length: 1 month
Pay rate: £24,000 per annum

Purpose of the role:
* Carry out formal product testing for new and existing products, product iterations and associated disposable products; testing undertaken following established company test procedures, work instructions or free format testing to agreed timescales.
* Assisting in producing test data and accompanying spreadsheet data to support the needs of the client.
* Be proactive throughout testing to maintain efficient test completion.
* Assisting in producing test data and accompanying spreadsheet data to support the needs of the client.
* Assist with the development of new test procedures and new test equipment to enhance the capabilities of the Product Test Lab.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
* Perform testing outlined in test protocols and work instructions.
* Record neat and accurate results in hard copy and electronic.
* Ensures the laboratory equipment is maintained and within calibration dates.
* Communicates any anomalies regarding test objects or results to the Senior Tech and /or Lab Manager
* Assist with any investigations, prototypes or free-format testing when required.
* Support any department with advice, training, expertise, and administration if required.
* Performs additional administration jobs to maintain lab/or support Test lab Manager
About you:
The successful applicant preferably hold a scientific qualification, such as BSc/MSc or similar with some laboratory/ quality control experience and will have the following skills and knowledge:
* Familiarity with commonly used PC applications- Excel and Word
* Ability to read and interpret documentation in English
* Attention to detail
* Good documentation practices
* Good time management and personal discipline
* Good analytical, process and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
* Experience of working with Quality/ISO procedure will be beneficial
* Methodical and organised with good attention to detail
* Able to perform repetitive tasks with dedication and accuracy
* Self-motivated but also able to be part of a team
* Ability to work well under pressure
