Purchasing Manager
We are looking for a Purchasing manager for our Southampton Head office.
(Mon-Thurs in Office, Friday Work from Home)
Salary - £35,000-£40,000 DOE, Plus Benefits
Who are we?
My client is an established Technology company and they provide corporate businesses throughout the UK. Due to new investment and acquisition’s, they are expanding very quickly, and this has opened up new opportunities within our Back office teams.
The Role
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join us in supporting our clients with exceptional service. As the Purchasing manager, you will be responsible for the entire purchasing function of the group. With one direct report currently, the team will grow in the near future. You will directly report to the Operations Director and be included in senior meetings to help evaluate and adapt the business.
Day to day you will be responsible for
* the processing of orders from our sales team to our suppliers.
* Using Sage (or similar systems) as this is our core platform for processing.
* You will be required to manage our suppliers and make sure that they are performing in line with our service expectations and build relationships to achieve a great service and cost savings.
* The ideal person will have a keen eye for detail and spotting trends in buying patterns to see where opportunities can be achieved.
* Using our CRM you will make sure the sales team have all the necessary information to give tracking and delivery details to their contacts.
* You will evaluate the daily back orders to see if other suppliers have stock and move orders to improve lead times.
* Returns are currently covered by purchasing and it will be your responsibility to ensure goods are returned as per the RMA process.
* When goods come in to our tech team you will liaise with them to make sure they can be built quickly and correctly to get to the customer promptly.
