Role: Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Type: Term-time only
Daily Pay: £120
Start Date : 2nd September; full time term time only opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Assist the teacher in delivering high-quality education by supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons across various subjects and year groups.
* Student Support: Provide targeted support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
* Teaching Assistance: Lead small group work and interventions, supporting students who need extra help to reach their learning objectives.
* Behaviour Management: Implement and support strategies to manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to the teacher and contributing to the development of individual learning plans.
* Administrative Duties: Assist with marking, recording, and tracking student progress, as well as preparing teaching materials and resources.
* Covering Absences: Step in to cover for class teachers during their first day of absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining classroom standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to support students’ educational and emotional needs.
Requirements:
Qualification: Relevant HLTA qualification or significant experience as a teaching assistant.
Experience: Proven experience in a classroom setting, with a strong understanding of primary education and the curriculum.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Adaptability: Flexible and able to work effectively across different year groups and subjects.
Commitment: A genuine passion for education and supporting students’ learning and development.
