Job Description:
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking a fulfilling career opportunity? Seven Resourcing are excited to present a permanent job opportunity at a well established veterinary hospital for a Veterinary Nurse, offering a competitive annual salary of £33,280
Working Hours:
You will be working on a 6-week rota and within that rota you will have 2 or 3 sets of OOH.
The OOH can be a combination of
* a set of 3 nights
* a full weekend day shifts 8 to 8 Sat/Sun
* a sat am 9 to 2pm
OOH/Weekends are part of the normal working week of 40 hours not in addition.
About the Practice:
You will be joining a team of over 20 qualified and training nurses including those with further qualifications and interests in anaesthesia, exotics , feline medicine and behaviour. We fund and fully support further development in areas of your interest. Known for their friendly and professional service, they are well-regarded by clients. They offer a welcoming environment and strive to ensure both pets and owners feel comfortable and well-informed.
Key Responsibilities of the Veterinary Nurse:
* Ensuring the well-being and comfort of animal patients during their stay, monitoring their progress, administering treatments, and providing care.
* Overseeing animals under anaesthesia during surgeries and procedures, ensuring their safety and stability.
* Supporting veterinarians during surgeries and diagnostics, which may include preparing animals for surgery, sterilising equipment, and assisting during procedures.
* Conducting consultations with pet owners, offering advice on preventative care, nutrition, and post-operative care, as well as answering any queries they may have.
* Administering medications as prescribed by the veterinarians, ensuring proper dosages and instructions are followed.
* Assessing the condition of incoming patients to prioritise care based on the severity of their condition, and ensuring that urgent cases are attended to promptly.
* Providing information and guidance to pet owners about their pets’ health, treatment plans, and general care, fostering a positive and informative client experience.
What we’re looking for from Veterinary Nurse applicants:
* Will be looking to take on Newly qualified or experienced Vet nurses.
* Must bet registered with RCVS as a Vet Nurse
* Have excellent customer care, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Be computer literate
* Be able to work under pressure, solve problems and work independently
* Be self-motivated and hardworking
