Credit Controller Role Overview
Market leading property organisation based in Manchester City Centre are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to work within a team of Credit Controllers and help support the Credit Manager and wider finance function in supporting the smooth running of the Credit Control department
Credit Controller Responsibilities:
* Daily Banking – Processing of online receipts and cheques
* Ensure companies daily banking exceptions are matched and interfaced
* Assist with bank reconciliation items
* Suspense Account Management
* Monitoring and driving down internal KPI’s
* Reducing outstanding debtors balance
* Adhering to companies Credit Control Policy
* Regular ledger reviews with Manager
* Chasing payment using telephone/email
* Dealing with and resolving queries
* Dealing with and resolving cash allocation queries
* Issuing statements and reminder letters
* Provide information to assist with the instructing of debt collection agencies
* Recommending action on recovery of problem debt
* Management of query resolution, chasing colleagues where required
* Monitor and report on aged debtors as and when required
* Develop and maintain active communication both within the Credit Control team and all internal departments
Credit Controller Required Experience:
* Previous experience of working within a Credit Control position within the property sector is essential
* Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment, that often requires the need to work to strict time deadlines.
* A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and team members.
* An enthusiastic, positive, and can-do approach to tasks.
