Finance Manager
Location: County Durham
Reports to: Finance Director
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our manufacturing client in County Durham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping oversee the financial operations of the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
* Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
* Monitor cash flow and manage working capital
* Oversee cost accounting processes and implement cost-saving measures
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
* Supervise and develop the finance team
* Assist in external and internal audits
Requirements:
* Ideally a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
* Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and software (e.g., ERP systems)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
* Experience with cost accounting and inventory management
* Can do attitude with excellent communications skills
Desirable:
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
* Experience with process improvement and automation
