We are seeking an Accountant who is keen, enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, who also has a keen eye for detail and numerical aptitude.
Day to Day of the Role:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
* Contribute to year-end audit preparations and perform monthly reconciliations.
* Generate reports and metrics for financial analysis.
* Engage in forecasting and variance analysis, as well as overhead analysis and costings.
* Provide general IT support, including routine tasks and troubleshooting.
* Utilise MS Office and gain experience with industry-standard accounting packages.
* Learn and understand the main software products used by the accounts team: Sage Line 50, Brewman, and Opus Retail Systems.
* Help develop the procurement process, including vendor selection and negotiation.
* Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, and other important data.
* Review existing contracts and agreements to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Support the Accounts Team with reporting and analysis.

* Solid experience as an Accountant

* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Experience with or willingness to learn industry-standard accounting packages.
