Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller - 2 - 3 days a week - fully remote coming to London once a month
An exciting opportunity has come up to work for the leading society who work with governments, policymakers, business and employers to develop and implement solutions for a healthier and more fulfilling longer lives.
My client is a £1million turnover charity based in London who are looking to recruit a part time Financial Controller who will be reporting to the CEO.
You will be managing one member of staff and working within a close-knit team.
Salary: £53,000 - £55,000 per annum which will be pro ratad for two or three days a week
Contract: 14 or 21 hours per
Hybrid: Client based near Oval. Fully remote coming to London once a month. My client will be reimbursing the travel cost of candidates living out of London.
Some of your key duties and responsibilities are;
* Produce monthly consolidated management accounts, rolling cash-flow forecasts, financial dashboards, annual accounts and annual returns;
* Complete/submit quarterly VAT returns; and support the Senior Leadership team (SLT) in submissions to Companies House, Charity Commission, HM Revenue & Customs and all other relevant regulatory bodies.
* Ensure cloud accounting system entries and bank reconciliations are up to date (approx.40-50 transactions p/month)
* Support the Senior Leadership team (SLT) to monitor project income and expenditures, including ad hoc project reporting, revenue and cost analysis and forecasting.
* Support Treasurer and external Auditors; and prepare financial summary pack for quarterly Trustee meetings. Lead review and update of ILC Risk Register.
* Provide line management support for the internal part-time bookkeeper and act as main liaison for any external finance service providers.
* Preparation of Statutory accounts, corporation Tax, VAT Partial exemption and Gift Aid
Candidates applying for this role must have the following:
* A recognised CCAB qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) / very strong QBE (Qualified by Experience) candidates are very welcome to apply
* Very strong experience in Charity SORP
* Very strong experience using QuickBooks, Xero or any Cloud based Accounting system
* Strong on VAT Partial exemption
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written skills

Interview date: 30th August, 2024 (Friday - 1st stage) and w/c 2nd September, 2024 (2nd stage - face to face interview). For the face to face interview, the travel cost will be reimbursed.
