Stock controller

for a medium sized manufacturing entity based in Burton-on-Trent, which is part of a large Canadian Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller and managing many aspects of the inventory.

Role and key responsibilities for Stock Controller
:
• Produce stock from process sheets, varying levels of work-in-progress through to finished goods.
• Prepare daily loading list for goods being dispatched to customers.
• Record and monitor raw material purchase prices.
• Create purchase order requests from various staff members.
• Update and maintain supplier catalogue prices.
• Enter goods receipts into system.
• Manage monthly physical stock take and reconcile volumes with the system investigating variances.
• Enter/update bill of materials in the system.
• Create new products in the system
• Ensure correct barc-oding of products/create new barcodes
• Ability to communicate with non-financial staff members to rectify issues/queries.

Minimum Requirements for Stock Controller :

• Organised
• Methodical
• Good with excel
• Hands on - going down to warehouse/production to speak to production supervisors.
• Link between production and accounting an advantage

Pay rate: between £12 - £13
per hour, depending on experience

Working hours:

Monday to Friday
8:00 -16:00
(flexible - to be discussed)
