Job Title: Buyer
Location: Cheslyn Hay, Walsall
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for building strong relationships and making smart buying decisions? Were looking for a Buyer to join our team and manage inventory procurement efficiently and cost-effectively.
What You’ll Do:
* Build Relationships: Maintain clear communication with suppliers and the wider team to ensure smooth procurement activities.
* Quality Control: Keep our systems updated with accurate information, manage demand reports, and work on supplier rejects to ensure quality.
* Cost Management: Negotiate cost reductions, reject price increases, and find ways to increase buying power with suppliers.
* Timely Delivery: Ensure on-time delivery by managing open demand and working with suppliers to reduce lead times.
* Collaborate: Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and support project work.

* Strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms for quality, cost, and delivery.
Performance Targets:
* Achieve a 2% reduction in purchase price.
* Maintain over 90% VOTD (Vendor On-Time Delivery).
* Ensure Kits OTIF (On-Time In-Full) > 99%.
