Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager | Derby | to £60,000 + bens | Great move from Practice
Cherry Professional are working exclusively with a Professional Services company who are looking to enhance their finance team. This would be an ideal role for a 1st or 2nd mover from practice who is looking to enter into industry with a clear path to FC. This company is on the acquisition trail and will offer a fantastic experience for the right individual.
This role will be reporting directly to the Finance Director with responsibility for ensuring the integrity of financial information, monthly management reporting, year end statutory accounts audit and assistance with budgeting / forecasting.
Key responsibilities….
* You will support the Finance Director and Finance Manager in managing and developing a team of finance assistants
* You will lead month end processes including balance sheet recs, production of monthly management accounts for a group of companies and consolidated group pack
* Investigate variance analysis and any discrepancies
* You will manage the integrity of the nominal ledger, including setting up and maintaining nominal accounts and cost centers
* You will be responsible for VAT returns
* Assist with the provision of financial information for the monthly board pack
* You will be responsible for the production and management of rolling weekly cashflow forecast
* You will assist with the production of monthly payroll report to be shared with outsourced payroll provider
* You will finance business partner with stakeholders to develop and maintain the budget and forecast models
What is the client looking for?...
* Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Ideally from a practice background
* Must have Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
* Experience of producing management or statutory accounts from a trial balance
What is on offer?...
* Salary between £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
* Opportunity to work for a PE backed enterprise on the acquisition trail
* Career progression to FC
