Painter & Decorator required for a full time permanent position based at a high end residential development in Stratford

PAINTER AND DECORATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Function of the Post
The Painter & Decorator is responsible to the Managing Agent and the Estate Manager for proper maintenance, appearance, stock, cleaning, security, heating, health and safety and smooth running of the Capital Towers Estate.

Line Manager: Estate Manager
Key responsibilities:
* To maintain the internal and external standards of the communal areas of the Tower.
* To carry out all painting and decorating to a high standard though out the complex.
* To carry out any other adhoc duties such as changing light bulbs, basic carpentry, etc.
Additional Responsibilities
* To carry out the cyclical internal and external redecoration projects as instructed by the Estate Manager or Senior Property Manager.
* To assist the Estate Manager and Property Manager in reviewing the scheduling of projects
* and annual programme of works.
* To provide Estate Manager with practical and professional advice with a view to achieving projects in a timely cost-effective manner.
* To report any maintenance to the Estate Manager.
* To notify the Estate Manager what work were completed that day and for records to be kept of progress
* To be familiar with all aspects of the site including location of stop cocks (main and individual), shut off points for gas and electricity and manual override for vehicle gates.
* Ensure residents are treated in a respectful, helpful, polite and efficient manner.
